Mummification Museum Lecture
Dr. Melinda Hartwig
Restoration of the tomb of Menna (TT69)

Dr Hartwig's lecture described the methodology used in the surveying and archaeometry used during the 4th phase of the conservation of the tomb. For the first time, it is thought, an interdisciplinary team used modern archaelogical methods and equipment, to record and analyse the paintings. I won't go into the full details of her excellent lecture, with its numerous images, but would refer you all to the website of the project, which describes most of which was in the lecture better than I could.
