Luxor Heritage Centre backs directly onto the Avenue of Sphinxes and is open between 10am and 3pm currently.

It has an extensive collection of Egyptological and Arabic literature in two libraries on the main floor. There is also a map room, and reading rooms on this floor. In the basement, there is an exhibition of Arabic astronomical instruments, a cafeteria, and several multimedia areas, including a small multiscreen theatre. The Heritage Centre is situated at the Luxor end of the main road to the airport.
